Japanese Calligrapher
Born in Kumamoto, Japan this talented artist started Japanese calligraphy at the tender age of six and has gone on to bring this beautiful and ancient traditional Japanese art form to events and audiences around the world.
Possessing a high-level of natural skill for this art form and the ability to perfectly execute each brush stroke with fluidity and confidence, she was awarded the title of “Master” at the age of 18 and awarded the highest title of “Professor” by the prestigious Japan Calligraphy Foundation the following year. With this highest award she was given the calligrapher name “佳萩”, translating broadly as a gracious but strong wild flower blooming the wild mountains, giving an extra touch of beauty to its surroundings.
During her career she has been commissioned by many high-profile clients such as Parker Pen, Toyota and Penguin Books to create bespoke designs that embody a specific theme, tone or aesthetic. She can create stunning works of calligraphy that can be shown at events or perform live at events (wearing traditional Japanese dress) for guests to watch.
A beautiful and unique form of event entertainment with a timeless appeal, this Japanese calligrapher will be the perfect addition to dinners, hotels and resorts, drinks receptions, corporate events, themed events and much more.
