The Big Picture

Through this creative interactive activity, delegates are encouraged to step back and take a look at the ‘big picture’, something that is particularly important when looking at an organisation and how its people operate and communicate internally. In this activity, the importance of teamwork, co-operation and communication is reinforced through the process of creating a huge piece of artwork.

The delegates are divided into small teams, each responsible for printing one or more individual canvases which will be brought together at the end to create a large image. Armed with all the artistic equipment they will need, the deviates much work well within their own teams as well as communicating with other teams to ensure that colours and lines match up when the image are put together, and that the final image is a success. Through this activity, delegates soon realise that co-operation with other teams is essential.

A company’s brand, conference theme, products, values, goals or even a large-scale reproduction of a famous work of art can inspire the final image. Once complete all the canvases are collected and framed together. The highlight of the activity is the big reveal where, following a debrief, the masterpiece is unveiled to thundering applause! The completed masterpiece can be displayed back in the office as a lasting reminder of the importance of teamwork.
