Bavarian Folklore Munich

The Bavarian Folklore group are based in Munich and consist of 4-8 young women dressed in traditional Bavarian dirndls, who dance, sing, yodel and play the cowbells. The troupe perform a lively musical program with youthful charm and spirit which has taken them across Europe, Kenya, New Zealand, Tokyo, Bangkok, Singapore, Canada, Beijing, Jakarta, and many States across the US.

The groups innovative, fast and contemporary dance style is perfect for beer festivals, Oktoberfest, German themed events and for parties that require high energy folk entertainment!

They have danced in Munich during the Olympiad, conventions in Frankfurt and Hannover, they performed at the world renowned Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen and the Tivoli in Sweden and gave a Command Performance for the Swedish Royal Family.  For the past 10 years, the show troupe has been a member of the Oktoberfest in Kitchener, Canada as well as in the "Old Munich" in Montreal, Canada. 

Over the past few years, the troupe has been performing the "Bayer" (the French Can-Can) in its routine. Because of the colourful, ethnic, Bavarian costumes, it fits well into the program and continues to increase in popularity. 

Their program includes various traditional Bavarian dances incl. the bench, the lumberjack & the duck dance, lots of Bavarian and international cowbell playing, plus the "wooden laughter" of our Cirkus Renz on the xylophone, various types of yodelling and singing - all with pretty young Munich girls.
