Medieval Music Italy
This traditional Medieval, Renaissance, Celtic and Folk trio from Italy performs a repertoire that ranges from medieval music to Renaissance dances.
The Mediaeval Trio recreate the atmosphere of a mediaeval-themed event by playing evocative, scene-setting music, from the soft, romantic ballads of mediaeval Italy to rousing songs and dance tunes. Wearing themed costumes the group use instruments ancient & modern to present authentic medieval music & song. The musical instruments used are bagpipes, recorders, hurdy-gurdy and drums of various kinds (bandolier drum, tambourine).
The Medieval trio have performed in historic events throughout Italy including the Pumpkin Festival of Venzone and Tempus Est Jocundum Gemona.
Outside Italy, they have performed in Luxembourg for the celebration of the founding of the Grand Duchy, the medieval festival Friesach (Austria), Horsens (Denmark), Ljubljana (Slovenia ), in Bellinzona (Switzerland) for the "Sword in the Stone", the island of RHODES and CIPRO (2010) to perform in concert at the Ayia Napa Medieval Festival.
