Medieval Music Italy
This traditional Medieval, Renaissance, Celtic, and Folk trio from Italy delivers a captivating range of music from medieval times to Renaissance dances.
The Mediaeval Trio recreates the ambiance of a medieval-themed event with their evocative, scene-setting music. From the soft, romantic ballads of medieval Italy to lively songs and dance tunes, they wear themed costumes and play both ancient and modern instruments to deliver authentic medieval music and songs. The instruments used include bagpipes, recorders, hurdy-gurdy, and various drums like the bandolier drum and tambourine.
The Medieval Trio has performed at historic events across Italy, such as the Pumpkin Festival of Venzone and Tempus Est Jocundum Gemona.
Internationally, they have performed in Luxembourg for the celebration of the founding of the Grand Duchy, at the medieval festival Friesach in Austria, Horsens in Denmark, Ljubljana in Slovenia, Bellinzona in Switzerland for the "Sword in the Stone," the island of RHODES, and CIPRO (2010) for a concert at the Ayia Napa Medieval Festival.
