Medieval Music Italy
This traditional Medieval, Renaissance, Celtic, and Folk trio from Italy performs a repertoire that ranges from medieval music to Renaissance dances.
The Mediaeval Trio brings the atmosphere of a medieval-themed event to life with evocative, scene-setting music, from the soft, romantic ballads of medieval Italy to rousing songs and dance tunes. Dressed in themed costumes, the group uses both ancient and modern instruments to present authentic medieval music and songs. The instruments played include bagpipes, recorders, hurdy-gurdy, and various types of drums (bandolier drum, tambourine).
The Medieval Trio has performed at historic events throughout Italy, including the Pumpkin Festival of Venzone and Tempus Est Jocundum Gemona.
Outside Italy, they have performed in Luxembourg for the celebration of the founding of the Grand Duchy, the medieval festival Friesach (Austria), Horsens (Denmark), Ljubljana (Slovenia), in Bellinzona (Switzerland) for the "Sword in the Stone," and on the islands of RHODES and CIPRO (2010) for a concert at the Ayia Napa Medieval Festival.
