A car or bus tour is a brilliantly unique way to see city highlights and learn the history of your chosen destination, driving around in a convoy of vintage cars will create some great memories and photo opportunities! Travelling via car and bus means your group can cover a lot of distance and see every corner of a city. A private sightseeing tour or guided car tour is also a safe option if your location is prone to a summer shower of rain, your group will have somewhere warm and dry to shelter! How does a guided car tour work?

Our group car tours are simple to book, and can work in two different ways, depending on the city car tour you choose and how big your group is. A guided convoy can follow each other and visit each site in a group, with several in each car (this works well for larger groups!) this gives your group the opportunity to drive a car themselves, often a vintage or traditional car, making the experience even more unique. Alternatively, our friendly and knowledgeable tour guides can drive your guests to give them the chance to really take in the beautiful scenery and historic sites. 

Do I need to provide anything for a private sightseeing tour?

This is very dependent on if you or any of your group are driving the cars themselves; if they are they may be required to bring their driving licenses (copies will most likely be needed to confirm the booking), and suitable footwear for driving. Depending on the route and duration, groups may want to bring lunch with them; if you would like a lunch stop included just let our team know when enquiring. Alternatively, we can organise packed lunches for your team.

I’m worried about driving in a foreign city, will I be trained and briefed on the car?

Yes, every tour will be lead by an experienced leader who will guide you through the car and any notable points. The majority of the time you will be following a tour guide who knows the area very well, and will brief you on any driving rules or laws you need to be aware of. 

What sort of routes are available via car and bus?

Some tours will have the option to include a lunch stop or let our team know if you would like a lunch deal included, and we can arrange a stop, packed lunches or mobile caterer to suit.

How many people can take part in a private sightseeing tour?

This is very dependent on which tour you book, but most can comfortably cater for groups of 20 up to 200, depending on availability.

Is it a private bus tour for just my group/colleagues?

Yes, all our tours can be booked privately to ensure maximum interaction amongst your corporate group as they travel through cities and compete in their team challenges! This allows the option for a completely bespoke tour or any (pre-planned) detours or stops if desired. 

Is there any safety or logistical issues I/my group should be aware of?

Any tour specific requirements will be made clear and confirmed when booking, but the majority of our corporate car tours or private bus tours come with everything provided. For example, some of our vintage car tours may have a minimum age or years of driving.

How long do the guided car tours last?

This is also very dependent on which tour you book and how many sites you want to take in. Some last for a few hours (two to three), whilst others last a full day or evening. Some tours can be tailored to suit your schedule if you’d like to shorten or lengthen a tour just let our team know when enquiring!
