Folk Dancers Sorrento

Based in Sorrento, our group of Folk dancers provides an entertaining performance to the traditional music of the Sorrentine Tarantella, whilst dressed in highly authentic and colourful costumes.

With a goal to promote the culture of the Sorrento Peninsula in all its many facets, this traditional folk performance is one of the most respected and professional in the region.

They express their passion for the folklore dance and traditions of Italy through carefully studying the original dance, with some members also playing traditional folk instruments including tambourines and castanets.

A highly interactive and energetic group, the members love to involve spectators in their routines, encouraging them to dance, laugh, sing and even play the ancient instruments with them!
