Soul Party Showband
This acclaimed 10-piece Soul, Funk & Disco band has dazzled audiences with over 1000 performances across the UK and Europe, gracing a vast array of venues. From TV chat shows to headlining music festivals with audiences of 10,000. They've shared stages with Girls Aloud and Will Young, and have performed at prestigious events like the British Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone in 2011 and celebrity weddings, including the recent one for Eamonn Holmes & Ruth Langsford.
Since forming in 1994, the band quickly earned a spot on tour with American soul legend Edwin Starr, followed by the release of their debut album, Soul Fiction, in 1997. In 2000, they performed a live medley on national BBC1 with Atomic Kitten & Martine McCutcheon for Children in Need. In 2001, they were the resident band on Carlton TV's 'Langsford Late' TV show—a series of 8 chat shows with Ruth Langsford. During this period, they also recorded a promotional video for the BBC on the set of Noel Edmonds House Party at BBC Television Centre, London, and worked on several projects, including a recording of Midnight Hour with American soul artist Geno Washington.
Special guests who've joined the band on stage include Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet and M People/Eurythmics/Lisa Stansfield saxophonist Snake Davis. International performances have taken them to various European countries, with notable appearances at the Guinness Jazz/Music Festival in Cork, Ireland in 1999 and 2002. In November 2005, BBC1 once again featured the band live on TV for Children in Need.
Their set list includes classic soul hits like Otis Redding's Try a Little Tenderness and Aretha Franklin's Think, alongside popular contemporary classics such as Queen's Don't Stop Me Now and their electrifying rendition of the B52's Love Shack, complete with a heavy metal medley!
The group brings an electric atmosphere, both visually and spontaneously. The band features three top-notch vocalists, a driving rhythm section, and a dynamic horn section that keeps the energy high!
