Lizzie Daly - Filmmaker
With a degree from the University of Exeter, a Research Master's from Bristol University and on her way to achieving her PhD, Lizzie Daly is making waves with her wildlife biology research. Her passion for storytelling and sharing her love of wildlife and the sea made a move into TV and wildlife filmmaking a natural choice for Lizzie and she has been featured in many BBC films for BBC One and Two, The One Show, CBBC and BBC Wales, Animal Planet and Sky TV, speaking on topics such as Sharks, Conger Eels and Lampreys, to name just a few!
An accomplished live broadcaster as well, Lizzie has hosted National Geographic LIVE Meet the Expert, BBC Live Lessons, Winterwatch LIVE and Blue Planet LIVE Lessons. Lizzie's experience in film and television makes her a top choice for live events, where she is able to truly engage an audience. As an experienced underwater cinematographer and a drone operator, Lizzie shoots the vast majority of her own content for her growing online community and for broadcast to ensure her visions are reflected. I drive to share her passion for adventuring and the environment has taken Lizzie to some of the world's most remote and treacherous terrains on solo adventures, having explored the Arctic, Antarctic and the Amazon. Capturing footage of some of the world's most endangered species, Lizzie strives to share with audiences the terrifying impact of climate change on the world around us. As part of her conservation efforts, she serves as an ambassador for organisations such as the Jane Goodall Institute and the Marine Conservation Society and is the first female patron of ORCA.
Lizzie's natural enthusiasm for wildlife and science shines through in her keynote speeches that cover themes such as being a woman in STEM, pushing boundaries and making a positive impact through science and storytelling.
Amongst her many previous clients, Lizzie has given keynote speeches for Google, New Scientist, Norwich Science Festival, Royal Geographic Society, Northern Ireland Science Festival, Blue Earth Summit and Chester Zoo.
As an experienced host and event compere, she has interviewed other top names in Wildlife Filmmaking, such as Steve Backshall and interviewed the previous Vice President, Al Gore and campaigners like Lewis Pugh for the COP26 ‘COPTV’ series.
Lizzie also has experience hosting well-known events and awards ceremonies such as the IFAW awards ceremony and the Panda Awards at Wildscreen Film Festival.

" Lizzie was great; she was incredibly engaging and very personable. We had a fairly tight session duration allocated for her, which she navigated perfectly, pulling the audience in and creating a subtle yet natural connection with the overall event message and concept. 5 stars! "
Cogs and Marvel - Google Earth Day 2022
" Lizzie’s talk was brilliant. Really engaging and inspiring, and she pitched it perfectly for the audience. They really enjoyed hearing her tips on how to get into wildlife filmmaking, and she peppered it with loads of exciting video clips – which was brilliant. Many of the participants said that it was the highlight of the 3-day event, and I really appreciated the fact that she stuck around for so long afterwards to take selfies and chat with the young people.
