Marc Priestley is a speaker, broadcaster, and author best known for his decade as a senior mechanic with the McLaren Formula 1 team. Working in the pit crew, he operated in a high-pressure environment defined by speed, precision, and teamwork, where split-second decisions often determined race outcomes.

After leaving Formula 1, he built a media career, co-presenting the popular TV show Wheeler Dealers and working as a commentator across Formula 1 and Formula E. He also hosts the podcast Pitlane Life Lessons, where he shares insights on performance, leadership, and mindset drawn from elite motorsport.

His book, The Mechanic – The Secret World of the F1 Pitlane, offers a behind-the-scenes look at life in Formula 1. During his career, he worked with world champions including Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, and Kimi Räikkönen.

Today, Priestley speaks about teamwork, leadership, and continuous improvement, highlighting how data-driven decisions and marginal gains drive success. He also explores motorsport’s future, including sustainability and the transition toward electric racing.
