Classic Chinese Instruments
Established in 1996, this internationally acclaimed Chinese Ensemble showcases a diverse range of traditional repertoires while also embracing contemporary styles. Since its inception, the ensemble and its musicians have performed countless concerts, festivals, and workshops across the UK and Europe.
The group has graced major venues such as the London Southbank Centre's Purcell Room and Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Royal Opera House, and festivals like Brighton, Edinburgh, and Pontardawe (Wales). Internationally, they have performed at prestigious festivals including WOMEX (Spain), WOMAD (Canada, Sweden, and Finland), Spoleto (Italy), Masala (Germany), and Babel Med Music (France).
In addition to their numerous CD albums, the musicians are sought after for film and TV music recordings, including Disney's Mulan and Shanghai Noon, as well as the BBC's Wild China documentary.
