Electric Violinist Dennis
Dennis is an accomplished musician with extensive experience. He is well-known in the local music scene, particularly in contemporary and jazz rhythms, and has earned a reputation internationally.
He has achieved numerous milestones in a relatively short time, sharing the stage with Asia’s top artistes and celebrities, including Ning Baizura, David Tao, Lewis Pragasam, James Boyle, Syafinaz Selamat, Tay Kewei, Fransisca Peters, Jimmy Sax, Noryn Aziz, Atilia Haron, Janet Lee, Amber Chia, Winnie Loo, Arianna Teoh, and Maya Karin, among others. Dennis also regularly appears as a guest performer on various television programs such as ntv7’s Thursday Night Live, The Breakfast Show, “Star Celeb”, Malaysia Hari Ini (MHI), and Celebrity Chat@ 8TV.
A notable collaboration was with James Boyle and The Ragged Tigers at the annual Penang Island Jazz Festival in 2006 and 2007 and the Genting International Jazz Festival in 2007.
Dennis is frequently invited to perform as a solo violinist and in collaborative performances with numerous musicians internationally, in countries like Thailand, Singapore, Korea, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Korea, and currently performing in London for the Islamic Fashion Week.
Dennis had the honor of opening for Adam Lambert at Bukit Jalil Stadium, KL, during Lambert's Asia tour in 2010.
His international collaborations extend to working with Wang Leehom's bassist (Jingles) and guitarist Jamie Wilson, Korean singer Lee An, and Singapore's Kewei. Partnering with producer Tat Tong, Dennis is making significant strides internationally, solidifying his star appeal.
Dennis is a born performer, known for his unique ability to connect with audiences and display raw emotion. It's no surprise that YTL Corporation invited him to perform at their prestigious "A Journey Through Time" event, where he performed alongside his regular partners Jimmy Sax and Ning Baizura.
Dennis has also performed as a soloist with the UM Symphony Orchestra in honor of DYMM Sultan Azlan Shah. He has entertained Malaysian royalty, performing twice before the DYMM and even dedicating a special melody for the DYMM’s mother on her birthday in 2008.
His remarkable performances have garnered global attention, including an invitation to the Islamic Fashion Festival, captivating Stella McCartney, the Princess of Monaco, and the Prime Minister’s wife.
He has held the 1st violin position for the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO) and is now a regular orchestral member with the RTM and National Symphony Orchestra.
Dennis has been featured in Malaysia’s Star newspaper and was named one of CIMB Prestige's Top 40 Under 40 for 2009. He also delivered an enchanting performance on Star World’s Asia Uncut program hosted by Jon Niermann in Shanghai.
