Singer-songwriter Kashy is best known for his chart-topping hit 'This Is My Dream,' which outranked global stars like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Justin Bieber on the Hong Kong iTunes chart in October 2013. At age seven, he began piano lessons to learn the basics, and by ten, he had written his first song. As a teenager, he took on various odd jobs to afford recording studio time. Songwriting was his life’s passion and continues to fuel his drive today.
His songs are known for their strong melodies and meaningful messages. He draws inspiration from all aspects of life—the highs, the lows, the successes, and the struggles—seeing them all as part of a bigger purpose.
Kashy’s music is a true reflection of who he is. He pours his heart and soul into every song he writes and performs. His sensitivity to emotion is evident in his compositions.

“Most of my songs carry messages about self-belief, self-acceptance, and inner strength. Writing has always been a therapeutic escape for me. My songs were my way of offering hope and inner strength to overcome the negative situations I faced growing up. Staying mentally strong was essential for me, and music, especially empowerment songs, was my key to achieving that."
It took Kashy 15 years to get his first big break. His story is one of perseverance. He wrote 'This Is My Dream' in 2007, but it wasn't until 2012 that it was first used as a motivational song for the London Olympics. Later that year, a music supervisor for a Hong Kong TV network discovered it, leading to its immense popularity. Kashy has also been highly ranked in various songwriting competitions, including the National UK Songwriting Competition and Songwriter Universe's Best Vocalist and Best Song of the Month competition.
