Peter Guttman - Explorer

An acclaimed author, TED talk speaker, television personality, travel journalist and photographer, Peter Guttman has been referred to as one of the "20 of the world's most influential photographers". With numerous TV appearances across multiple networks for programmes such as the Today Show, National Geographic Adventure, Conde Nast Traveller and the CNN Travel Guide, Peter will be a familiar face to many guests and is a trusted authority on topics relating to travel and adventure. In addition to his series of books that focus on his travel experiences, he is also a spokesman for Kodak and has a featured chapter in the Kodak Guide to Shooting Great Travel Pictures as well as in the New York Institute of Photography's book, Top Tips from Top Travel Photographers. His stunning photographs have been exhibited in a prominent show in the lobby of the United Nations and he was the first living photographer to be honoured with a solo exhibition on an entire floor at Sotheby's in New York City.

On top of his printed work, he has also created apps for the iPad and iPhone on similar topics. His app Beautiful Planet HD was considered a groundbreaking educational tool that explores the beauty of planet earth and links the images to integrated maps, allowing users to really appreciate locations they may not have the opportunity to visit.

Peter has spoken extensively about his photography career at the American Museum of Natural History, George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film, the Smithsonian Institution and for many more prestigious groups. He has also spoken about his career, adventures and travel as part of a TEDx Talk, for the Washington Post and New York Times Travel Show, amongst others, as well as being the subject of three New York Times profiles.

Peter has won multiple awards for his work, including the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Exploration and Storytelling and the Lowell Thomas Travel Journalist of the Year award three times.
