F1 Academy Managing Director Susie Wolff began her motorsport journey over 20 years ago, starting on the karting circuit like many of her racing peers. After gaining experience in karting, Formula Renault, and DTM with Mercedes-Benz, Susie made history at the 2014 British Grand Prix as the first woman in 22 years to participate in a Formula 1 race weekend.

Following her retirement from racing in 2015, Susie committed herself to fostering positive change in motorsport. In 2016, she launched Dare To Be Different, an initiative aimed at inspiring the next generation of female talent and increasing women’s participation across all areas of the sport. Her contributions to women in sport were formally recognised in 2017 when she was awarded an MBE.

Susie took her first step into team management and ownership as Team Principal and shareholder of ROKiT Venturi Racing. In November 2021, she was promoted to CEO of Monaco’s only racing team. Under her leadership, the team achieved its most successful season, earning a Vice-World Championship title. Susie departed the team and Formula E in August 2022.

Susie Wolff was appointed Managing Director of the F1 Academy in 2023, an all-female driver category dedicated to developing and preparing young female drivers for higher levels of motorsport competition.
