Our exceptional Beijing Gypsy Jazz Band is a multi-national ensemble of highly talented musicians, drawing musical inspiration from the styles of the legendary Django Reinhardt in the 1930s and 1940s. They are among the premier providers of gypsy jazz in China, with their superb vintage swing music and impeccably suited stage attire offering an unforgettable live music experience for any audience.

The Beijing Gypsy Jazz Band comprises members from France, the United States, Greece, and China. The ensemble features two guitarists, a percussionist, a double bass player, and has the option to include a clarinet player as the fifth member.

The gypsy jazz band’s live music repertoire includes Django Reinhardt-inspired songs, American swing classics, jazz manouche, traditional gypsy waltzes, Latin pieces, and even traditional Chinese and Italian compositions, where the guitarist occasionally plays the mandolin for a unique tonality. Moreover, the vocalist can perform in English, French, Italian, and Chinese.

The band has been a staple in the gypsy jazz scene in China for many years, winning the Best Band of the Year award by City Weekend Beijing three times and receiving nominations from the National LPA awards for the best Jazz Band. They have been part of numerous events in and around Beijing and have collaborated with prestigious clients such as Ferrari, Louis Vuitton, Air France, and the Institut Français.
