Contortionist Desireé was born and raised in Norway. She competed in gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics before moving to London to study dance at the London Contemporary Dance School and Laban Centre for Movement and Dance. Since then, she has enjoyed a successful career as a circus performer and contemporary dancer, touring across Europe, Asia, and the United States. She has collaborated with groups such as Yolande Snaith Theatre Dance, S.O.A.P. Dance Theatre Frankfurt, The Flying Dudes, The Wrong Size, Bolli Darling, and Cirque du Soleil.
Desireé's TWIST show is an elegant and captivating contortion act inspired by the vibrant era of the flapper.
Utilizing her background as a contemporary dancer and yogi, Desireé infuses a theatrical element into traditional contortion. The result is “TWIST” - an elegantly costumed feather fantasia showcasing a rare exhibition of human flexibility.
