Contortionist Desiree

Contortionist Desireé was born and raised in Norway. She competed in gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics before moving to London to study dance at the London Contemporary Dance School and the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance. Since then, she has built a successful career as a circus performer and contemporary dancer, touring across Europe, Asia, and the United States. She has worked with Yolande Snaith Theatre Dance, S.O.A.P. Dance Theatre Frankfurt, The Flying Dudes, The Wrong Size, Bolli Darling, and Cirque du Soleil, among others.

Desireé's TWIST show is an elegant and captivating contortion act inspired by the roaring flapper era.

Drawing from Desiree’s background as a contemporary dancer and yogi, she brings a theatrical twist to the traditional concept of contortion. The result is "TWIST" – an elegantly costumed feather fantasia and a rare display of human flexibility.
