Croatian Jazz Band
Established in 1993 in Split, this renowned jazz group is considered one of the top jazz fusion bands in Croatia. They boast an impressive discography of 11 albums, have won three Porin Awards, and have graced many prestigious jazz festivals in Croatia, Austria, Slovenia, and Italy. They have collaborated with many esteemed Croatian and international artists, including Bosko Petrovic, Matija Dedic, Zdenka Kovacic, Gabi Novak, Arsen Dedic, Tedi, Tammy McCann, Robin Brown, Carlos Werneck, Georgie Fame, Marcelo Godoy, and Daniele di Bonaventura.
For the first time in Croatian music history, they merged two musical idioms—traditional Dalmatian music from the Mediterranean region of Croatia and traditional jazz—creating a unique musical style that sets them apart on the Croatian and international music scenes.
Anchored by bassist Renato, drummer Jadran, and pianist Ivan, the band has recently been performing with Martine Thomas, a Haitian singer with a beautiful voice who has performed in the clubs of Paris and New York for many years.
