Electric Violinist: Sarina
Electric Violinist Sarina has been playing the violin since she was five. She began with classical training but later explored Jazz and Electric music. As a child and into her late teens, Sarina performed throughout Japan as a classical violinist, winning several classical violin competitions.
After graduating from college, Sarina signed a record deal with Victor Entertainment, a major label in Japan under SONY Music management. From 2006 to 2007, she toured extensively across Japan, released three CDs which all made it to the top 20 charts on iTunes, and produced two music videos that received extensive airtime on MTV Japan. She performed live on numerous national radio stations and appeared on several national talk shows and TV programs. Her hit single “Silver Storm” was chosen as the theme song for a primetime TV show on major Japanese network channel Fuji TV.
Since moving to New York City in 2007, Sarina has performed at some of the city's most famous nightclubs and concert halls, including Radio City Hall, Carnegie Hall, Roseland Ballroom, Lincoln Center, Highline Ballroom, Blue Note, Webster Hall, Pacha, Nikki Beach, Kiss & Fly, Lavo, Juliet, Marquee, Pink Elephant, Greenhouse, 1Oak, and many more.
In April 2009, she played an opening solo act for the renowned Mexican Wrestling show “Lucha Libre” at the Arena of the New Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas, performing before an estimated 10,000 people. She has also performed internationally. In November 2010, she was the featured performer at the grand opening of the Sheraton Hotel & Casino in San Juan. Since the summer of 2009, she has had five successful shows at the largest nightclub in St Maarten, “Tantra.” Sarina has also performed in Istanbul, Tel Aviv, St Barths, Guadeloupe, Panama, London, Rome, Milan, San Juan, Miami, Houston, Athens, Boston, Washington D.C., and Nantucket. In October 2010, Sarina was the featured performer alongside legendary DJ Jonathan Peters at the "JP Classics" party at Roseland Ballroom. In July 2011, Sarina performed with Grammy-winning rapper FloRida and celebrity/actress/singer Milla Jovovich on a private island in Italy.
