Jazz Singer Copenhagen

Jazz Singer Cathrine is an exceptional vocalist who performs Jazz standards, mainstream, cool, and bebop, along with a selection of old Nordic tunes and her own original compositions.

Born in Denmark to Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish parents, she was initially trained to be a music teacher. However, in 2006, she decided to pursue a professional singing career, which has flourished ever since.

She performs both in Denmark and internationally, including Scandinavia, the UK, USA, Iceland, Thailand, and China, where she represented Denmark at the World Expo in Shanghai.

In addition to her performances, she composes and performs jazz for children with the ensemble ‘NullerNix’, having launched two CDs and a book related to this project.

Cathrine is signed to Storyville Records, which ensures her successful CDs are distributed worldwide. Her third album, ‘Land & Sky’, reached the Top 10 of Danish Jazz Releases in 2011 and was nominated for ‘Vocal Jazz Album of the Year’ at the Danish Music Awards and ‘Jazz Album of the Year’ at the Icelandic Music Awards in 2011.
