Jazz Vocalist: Tess

Female vocalist Tess possesses performance experience that far surpasses her years. Tess did not wait for her dream to come true; she made it happen. Just months after graduating from the Hart School of Music, Tess embarked on a six-month tour in Hong Kong, performing six nights a week at one of the most prestigious jazz venues in Asia. Living and working in Asia not only gave Tess a close-up view of the music industry, but it also allowed her to connect with incredible musicians and discover a wealth of new music. This experience shaped Tess into a highly skilled and versatile jazz, R&B, soul, and pop vocalist. Her talent and charisma captivated many, including a leading music agency in Asia.

Tess has had the privilege of studying jazz under the guidance of world-renowned bassist Nat Reeves, trombonist Steve Davis, and singers Dena DeRose and Shawnn Monteiro. She has performed at numerous venues throughout New England and has had the honor of sharing the stage with many jazz greats, including Rene McLean, Nat Reeves, Dezron Douglas, Steve Davis, Eric McPherson, Randy Johnson, Rich Goldstein, Mike Renzi, Eric Bloom, Eric Alexander, David Hazeltine, Jim Rotondi, Joe Farnsworth, Jimmy Greene, and many others.

Tess has also recorded and toured with Grammy award-winning Bernard Purdie (Steely Dan, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles) and James Cammack. She has had the pleasure of opening for Grammy-award winning artists Dionne Warwick and Arturo Sandoval.
