Lee Ridley AKA Lost Voice Guy
Lee Ridley, AKA Lost Voice Guy, may not be able to talk, but he certainly has something to say, and his comedy will leave you speechless. Known for his unique and hilarious performances, he has been praised as “a wonderful comedian” by Little Britain’s Matt Lucas.
Lost Voice Guy won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2014 and achieved significant acclaim by winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2018. He was the first comedian ever to win the show and delivered one of the most unforgettable stand-up routines in the history of the competition.
The Newcastle comedian, whose cerebral palsy affects his ability to speak, is the first stand-up comedian to use a communication aid. From the start of ITV's highest-rated entertainment show, Lost Voice Guy captivated audiences with his routines, spoken entirely through an iPad app. To perform, Ridley uses a speech synthesizer to program his material and selects lines based on audience reactions.
While disability and living with cerebral palsy are central themes in his act, Ridley’s comedy spans a wide range of topics, from roasting the political establishment to commenting on the welfare system. He has performed for numerous corporate clients, including Barclays, The Royal College of Nursing, Exeter University, Leeds Jewish Welfare Board, The Royal College of Occupational Therapists, the BBC (internal), Scope, Motability, Communication Matters, and multiple branches of the NHS.
Lee has delivered jokes and motivational speeches for various charities and organizations including Barclays, Scope, and The Royal College of Nurses. He is also a patron of Smile For Life, Find A Voice, Communication Matters, and The Sequal Trust.
