Mark currently holds the World Record title for cycling 18,000 miles in 78 days and 14 hours, averaging an epic 240 miles a day, having beaten his previous record for circumnavigation cycling.

Mark also has an extensive interest in education and dedicates much of his pro bono work to being Rector of the University of Dundee, Honorary President of Scottish Student Sport and Patron for the Saltire Foundation.
