Speaker Will Greenwood
Will Greenwood stands as the second highest try scorer in English rugby history, propelling England to their 2003 Rugby World Cup triumph. Celebrated as one of England’s greatest rugby legends, he is also known for his engaging, intelligent, and witty persona. Will serves as an ambassador for the World Cup 2015 in England.
An Economics graduate from Durham University, Will balanced a career as a City trader while playing for Harlequins. It was only in 1996, with the advent of professional rugby, that he fully committed to the sport. He debuted for England’s international team in 1997, and during the 2003 World Cup, he was a key player, finishing as a joint top try scorer with five tries.
Despite several injury challenges, he joined the British & Irish Lions tour of New Zealand in 2005, capping a stellar international career. Renowned for his intelligent and entertaining commentary, Will was quickly recruited by Sky Sports as a regular match-day presenter. He is also a well-regarded columnist for the Saturday Telegraph.
As a keynote and after-dinner speaker, Will is highly sought after in the rugby world. His humorous and articulate delivery allows him to highlight valuable lessons from his elite sports career, while his previous experience as a trader at HSBC enables him to draw insightful parallels between business and sports.
