Texas Electric String Band

Founded in 2007 by award-winning violist Ion Zanca, this String Quartet has rapidly become the premier quartet in Texas. The ensemble features exceptional performers from local orchestras—each a virtuoso musician, acclaimed by peers and music enthusiasts alike. Recently, the quartet has been highlighted in the Wall Street Journal, ESPN, Fox 4’s “Good Day” program, and WFAA's Good Morning Texas.

The group’s repertoire spans traditional to contemporary music, whether amplified or intimate, covering genres from jazz and tango to classical and classic rock. Prior to forming the ensemble, the quartet's members performed individually with renowned orchestras and artists across the globe, including Amy Grant, Josh Groban, and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
