Violinist Clarissa
Clarissa is a former Indonesian child violinist who has set a new world record as the "World's Fastest Violinist" by playing the song Flight of the Bumblebee on acoustic violin in 49.42 seconds (273 bpm) at Hall Yamaha Music Centre, Jakarta, on June 15th, 2013. This record-breaking performance was witnessed by the public and juries and is documented in the Record Holders Republic (Registry of Official World Records).
A brilliant and talented violinist, Clarissa has released two solo violin albums and won a prestigious AMI Award (Indonesian Academy Music Award) for Best World Music/Instrumental Artist when she was just 9 years old.
Since her rise to fame, she has relocated to the United States, where she graduated from the University of North Texas in violin performance in 2022. She is now in Atlanta, Georgia, pursuing a master's degree in violin performance with a graduate assistantship.
