In order for aerialists to perform in the air, a rigging point is required. This allows them to safely attach their equipment and perform mesmerising routines above the heads of guests. Many venues will offer a rigging point but if not, a truss structure could be installed or our artists could perform with a freestanding rig.
It is advised to have a height of 6 metres for an effective aerial display, especially for aerial silk dance that incorporate drops in the choreography. If your venue has particularly low ceilings, aerial hoop is a brilliant alternative as it’s only 3.5 metres. This allows the artist to perform on top of the hoop as well as inside and below it.
Aerial dancing is ever changing and artists are always finding new ways to develop their movement with imaginative props and equipment. Our roster features a range of aerial styles including silks, trapeze, rope, hoop, Chinese pole and aerial cube and spiral. We also have champagne aerialists that serve champagne upside down and building walkers that perform on the sides of skyscrapers.

CASE STUDY: Vertical Fashion Show on the Burj Khalifa, Dubai
We made the 2014 Dubai Shopping Festival an event to remember by creating a record-breaking visual statement that attracted global media attention with the first EVER vertical fashion show!
Six performers suspended in the air proceeded to cascade down gorgeous silks draped down the side of the colossal Burj Khalifa, while models simultaneously walked the runway below.
Our aerialists finished their performance by descending with the colours of the UAE flag behind them, carrying DSF shopping bags for a climatic (and branded) finale. We’re delighted to have been awarded ‘Best Entertainment Production’ for this event at the Middle East Event Awards.

We have a fantastic range of aerial acts on our roster, each with different purposes. For example, aerial silk dancing works well for short high-impact shows due to the high-octane intensity and dramatic drops. Whereas an ambient hoop set is the ideal choice for an event that requires sophisticated entertainment without being too distracting.
The requirements of an aerial dancer will vary from artist to artist but the most important factor to consider is rigging. If a venue is unable to provide rigging setups, this will need to be supplied externally. Many artists also offer freestanding apparatus as an alternative which is just as effective.
