Professional circus performer and fire artist João transforms any space into a small circus, where laughter, risk and spectacle are guaranteed!
João’s performances have no boundaries and have captivated audiences of all ages. He has researched, created, travelled, laughed and also cried to get his magnificent theatrical shows presented at various festivals of street theatre and circus.
João’s performance combines stunning fire art, as he breathes huge balls of fire high into the air, spins fiery giant 3D cubes and flames, creating spectacular shapes. He also entertains with impressive acrobatic stunts such as the splits, backflips and circus acts such as juggling and mime.
Born in Belo Horizonte (Brazil) in 1986, from a very young age our performer discovered the world of juggling, and stumbled in to the circus almost inadvertently, throughout his career he has studied different areas of the Performing Arts and Circus, such as Decroux techniques (Mimica Body Dramatica), Contact Dance, Contemporary, Physical Theatre, Clown and floor acrobatics. Our performer studied at any top Brazilian schools such as Escola Trupe Tralha and Cine Horto. In the Escola de Circo Criollo in Buenos Aires, in the Club Flic Flac (Spain), and workshops in juggling conventions in Finland, Portugal, Spain, and Brazil.
Our Artists also teaches children and adults introducing them to the world of circus. This sensation provoker continues to hunt for the circus poetry captivating and impressing the public of different corners of the world.
His intense stage presence and artistry has all members of the audience captivated as he entertains and amazes at street festivals, carnivals, corporate events and much more.
His talent includes theatre/clown techniques, contemporary dance, floor acrobatics, and juggling such as clubs, diabolo, double staffs, swing clubs, poi, cube, pyramid, square.
