João’s performances know no bounds and have captivated audiences of all ages. He has researched, created, traveled, laughed, and also cried to bring his magnificent theatrical shows to various street theater and circus festivals.
João’s performance combines stunning fire art, as he breathes huge fireballs high into the air, spins fiery giant 3D cubes, and creates spectacular flame shapes. He also entertains with impressive acrobatic stunts like splits, backflips, as well as circus acts like juggling and mime.
Born in Belo Horizonte (Brazil) in 1986, from a very young age he discovered the world of juggling and almost inadvertently stumbled into the circus. Throughout his career, he has studied different areas of the Performing Arts and Circus, such as Decroux techniques (Mimica Body Dramatica), Contact Dance, Contemporary, Physical Theater, Clown, and floor acrobatics. He studied at top Brazilian schools such as Escola Trupe Tralha and Cine Horto. He also attended Escola de Circo Criollo in Buenos Aires, Club Flic Flac (Spain), and participated in juggling workshops in Finland, Portugal, Spain, and Brazil.
