Formed 5 years ago from an ensemble of ultra-talented, musical loving buskers, Festival Folk Band are a popular Country and Folk style band, who channel their old folk and skiffle heroes to crowds at events worldwide.

Sharing their rare musical talents at international events, the band have gone from strength to strength, earning an impressive reputation and an impressive fan base in the UK, Europe and the West coast of America.

Formed from a tight knit ensemble of musicians, the band perform with a unique country and western / folk inspired twist, covering an array of lyric focused songs, arranged in a beat-pop style with inventive arrangements of instruments and harmonies.

The songs are penned by the band's three main writers and document their tales and travels through work, love, death as well as more specific situations, such as being mugged and losing all your money in William Hill!

Their tunes have received airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 music shows including spins by Dermot O'Leary, Bob Harris, Steve Lamacq, Cerys Matthews and Janice Long. In September 2014 the band were also selected by BBC Introducing to play at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park with ELO and Blondie and have played at many other renowned music festivals including Wilderness, Boomtown, Camp Bestival, Deer Shed, The Beverley Folk Festival, Truck Festival and Tramlines.

Producing incredible down to earth, folk inspired music, the Festival Folk Band have even earned themselves an appearance on the BBC 2 television documentary, ‘Towns’ playing their version of traditional folk song 'Scarborough Fair.'
