Formed 5 years ago from an ensemble of exceptionally talented, music-loving street performers, Festival Folk Band is a popular Country and Folk band that brings the essence of old folk and skiffle heroes to audiences at events worldwide.

Showcasing their rare musical talents at international events, the band has continued to grow, earning a stellar reputation and a devoted fan base in the UK, Europe, and the West Coast of America.

Originating from a close-knit group of musicians, the band performs with a unique Country and Western/Folk-inspired twist, covering a variety of lyric-driven songs. These tracks are arranged in a beat-pop style with creative instrumentals and harmonies.

The songs are written by the band's three main composers and reflect their tales and experiences involving work, love, and death, as well as unique situations such as being mugged and losing all your money in William Hill!

Their tunes have received airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, and BBC 6 music shows, including spins by Dermot O'Leary, Bob Harris, Steve Lamacq, Cerys Matthews, and Janice Long. In September 2014, the band was also selected by BBC Introducing to perform at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park alongside ELO and Blondie. They have also played at many other renowned music festivals, including Wilderness, Boomtown, Camp Bestival, Deer Shed, The Beverley Folk Festival, Truck Festival, and Tramlines.

Producing incredible, down-to-earth Folk-inspired music, the Festival Folk Band has even been featured on the BBC 2 television documentary 'Towns,' playing their version of the traditional folk song 'Scarborough Fair.'
