Hot 1920s Jazz Band
This incredible New York based eight-piece jazz band give voice to the history-defining jazz of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s taking influences from the jazz of New York, Paris and New Orleans, from the Prohibition era through the Great Depression, WWII and beyond!
Formed from powerhouse musicians who have studied at hallowed institutions like Julliard, Berklee and NYU Jazz this band have developed a distinctive gritty sound that layers a blustery brass lineup and swinging rhythm section led by a stride-piano virtuoso with stunning vocals from another era! The band are also accompanied by their very own tap dancer - bringing that authentic ‘hot jazz’ feel well and truly back to life!
Performing with a little glamour, a little grit and a lot of passion they have wowed audiences at New York’s fames Joe’s Pub, the internationally-known Montreal Jazz Festival, the playfully-naughty underground speakeasy experience Shanghai Mermaid, and Symphony Hall in Boston. Successfully making classic jazz relevant to current audiences, their live shows evoke a jumping’ feel-good vibe that will have audiences of all ages dancing the night away.
