Mermaid Family Show

The Mermaid is the youngest daughter of the Mer-King, who lives in a castle under the sea. On their 16th birthdays, the King allows each of his daughters to visit the surface and they all look forward to this special occasion. On her 16th birthday as per tradition the mermaid takes her turn to swing to the surface and during her visit sees a human Prince celebrating his birthday on a ship.

The ship tragically sinks and the mermaid rescues the prince and takes him to shore, returning to the water before she is seen. After this brief encounter with the prince, the Little Mermaid starts to yearn to become human and win the Prince’s love. Out of desperation she visits a sea witch to ask for help and is given a potion that will rid her of her tail and grow legs, which the sea witch warns her will be a great pain to walk on. In return the little mermaid gives the sea witch her voice. If the little mermaid can get the prince to return her love and marry her she can remain human and live happily ever after.
