Arabic Band London
Arabic Band London performs a blend of Traditional Art and Folk music from the Middle East, featuring the Oud, Arabic Percussion, Arabic Nay Flute, and more. They possess significant expertise in various genres and bring years of experience with their instruments.
Primarily a trio, they share a passionate interest in music from across the Middle East. Their extensive repertoire ranges from classical instrumental compositions to regional folk traditions and the beloved Arabic and Turkish songs of the 1940s to the 1960s.
Some of their live music options include:
- Chas - A full range of Middle Eastern Percussion.
- Maren - Middle Eastern Ney, Arabic Saxophone, and pipes (Zurna & Mizmar).
- Russell - Middle Eastern Oud, Percussion, and Egyptian Spike Fiddle (Rebab).
- Bland - Duduk (Soulful Kurdish Pipe), Oud, Spike Fiddle (Kemence), and some singing.
- Jo - Egyptian Accordion.
The Band has performed at various national and international events, including Glastonbury Festival UK, WOMAD Festival UK, Bergen Festival in Norway, Bristol Colston Hall, Oxford University, The Namaste Club in Ibiza, and The Lazy Lizard in Faralya, Turkey, among others.
Arabic Band London can perform as a duo up to a five-piece band and collaborate with dancers who showcase Egyptian, Turkish, Gypsy, and Middle Eastern dance to enhance their entertainment offerings. Additional musicians include a Dudek, Oud, and Kemence player with a small singing repertoire, and an Accordion player.
