Arabic Band London

Arabic Band London play a combination of Traditional Art and Folk music from the Middle East, on Oud, Arabic Percussion and Arabic Nay Flute and more. They have considerable knowledge about the various genres and have many years of experience playing their respective instruments.

They are predominately a trio of musicians who have a passionate interest in music from across the Middle East. Their repertoire is broad and varied ranging from classical instrumental compositions through to regional folk traditions and the ever popular Arabic and Turkish songs of the 1940s to the 1960s.

Some of their live music options are:

• Chas - A full range of Middle Eastern Percussion.
• Maren - Middle Eastern Ney, Arabic Saxophone and pipes ( Zurna & Mizmar )
• Russell - Middle Eastern Oud, Percussion and Egyptian Spike Fiddle ( Rebab )
• Bland - Duduk ( Soulful Kurdish Pipe ) Oud, Spike Fiddle ( Kemence ) and some singing
• Jo - Egyptian Accordion

The Band have performed nationally and internationally at many events such as Glastonbury Festival UK, WOMAD Festival UK, Bergen Festival in Norway, Bristol Colston Hall, Oxford University, The Namaste Club in Ibiza and the The Lazy Lizard in Faralya, Turkey to name but a few.

Arabic Band London can perform as a duo right up to a five piece band and also work with Dancers who perform Egyptian, Turkish, Gypsy and Middle Eastern Dance to add another element to their already excellent entertainment options. Additional musicians are a Dudek, Oud and Kemence player with a small repertoire of singing and an Accordion player.
