Authentic Holland provides a distinctive and educational experience for corporate away days, immersing your group in a community with a rich history from the 18th and 19th centuries. It's a great choice for VIP outings or team-building activities, allowing everyone to experience a vibrant and traditional living and working community. Ideal for team incentive trips and corporate parties with tight schedules, Authentic Holland lets you experience the essence of Holland and gain valuable insights within a limited timeframe. VIP guests can purchase traditional handmade clogs and a variety of authentic cheeses as souvenirs. Additionally, you can participate in workshops to decorate your own clog or have your company logo featured on a customized clog keyring as a memento of the trip!

Scarlett’s exclusive Dutch experience sets a unique stage for your international business trip or private corporate event in Amsterdam, allowing your group to hold meetings, enjoy dinner, and explore the sights. This can even be done by boat! With significant experience in group visits, our team offers multiple customized options to suit every preference. We offer five tour packages, ranging from a typically Dutch experience to a pancake lunch or a personalized tour.

Organized groups will get the opportunity to visit windmills, barns, houses, and museums built in the traditional Dutch wooden architectural style. Enjoy traditional tours, walk through authentic buildings, and explore the unique peat meadow landscape before watching crafts such as clog and cheese-making. Conclude the day with a boat trip on the River Zaan, taking in the stunning landscape and learning about the area’s rich industrial heritage.

Our Authentic Dutch Experience offers a choice of five packages

1. Typically Dutch – A walking tour visiting paint mills, oil mills, or sawmills and viewing a range of traditional crafts such as cheese & clog-making, pewter working, and Delft blue pottery painting. Visit the museums and windmills to complete the experience.
2. Typically Dutch Plus – Follow a walking tour with a boat trip on the River Zaan. Your tour guide will provide insights into the picturesque setting and the area’s rich industrial heritage.
3. Authentic Dutch Experience Guided Tour – Book a guide for a tour and customize your own program, choosing either a local or multilingual guide to learn about the history and stories of the Authentic Dutch experience.
4. Pancake Lunch – Start the day at the Museum & Verkade Pavilion, then enjoy a pancake lunch in a restaurant located in an authentic 18th-century grain barn originally from Wormerveer. The barn has stood here since 1976. This package offers a truly traditional culinary experience in an authentic environment, perfect for international groups.
5. Authentic Dutch Experience Customised Tour – This option lets you book a guide for a tour and personalize your own program.

Useful Tips

• Tours last approximately ninety minutes.
• Maximum of 20 people per individual tour.
• Comfortable clothing and footwear recommended.
• Multilingual tour guides available for all tour options.
• Typically Dutch Plus Tour runs from April 1st to October 1st.
• If booking our clog workshop, it's recommended to book four weeks in advance of your trip.
• For customized clog keyrings, orders must be placed four weeks prior to your trip.
• During the tour, your group will visit at least one windmill for various purposes, in addition to traditional craft demonstrations like clog making, cheese making, tin foundry work, and Delft blue pottery painting.
