The Electric Swing Circus is a vibrant 6-piece ensemble blending the charm of the 1920s swing with dynamic electro beats. With influences from 1920’s swing and jazz, the exciting sound of the Electric Swing Circus redefines the electro-swing genre for a diverse, multi-generational audience.

The ESC’s music is a robust mix of electric double bass, vintage samples, gypsy-jazz guitar, keys, live drums, edgy synths, and electro beats. Led by a captivating female double-act showcasing diverse vocal styles, the ESC consistently delivers an impressive performance. Their debut, self-titled album is now available on Ragtime Records.

The band is prominent in the electro-swing community, hosting their own annual festival, Swingamajig, and regular club night, Hot Club de Swing. They also curate acts for events and stages across Europe. The ESC lineup features Laura Louise and Bridget Walsh (vocals), Chandra Walker (drums and keyboard), Tom Hyland (guitar), Rashad Gregory (synth, sampling, and programming), and Patrick Wreford (bass & bass synth).

The band was formed in 2011, with their preview EP, Penniless Optimist, released in September that year. Their debut album “Electric Swing Circus” was launched in May 2013, and new music is on its way for 2014! “One of the highlights of Glastonbury Festival…” – Official Glastonbury Guide 2013
