The Electric Swing Circus is a live 6-piece fusion of sultry 20's swing and pounding electro beats. Drawing influence from 1920’s swing and jazz, the explosive sound of the Electric Swing Circus echoes back through time, reinventing the genre of electro-swing for an ever-growing, multi-generational audience.

The ESC’s sound is a powerful blend of electric double bass, vintage samples, gypsy-jazz guitar, keys, live drums, gritty synths, and electro beats. Fronted by a sassy female duo, with a wide variety of vocal styles, the ESC consistently delivers a dazzling show. Their debut, self-titled album is available now on Ragtime Records.

The band is active in the electro-swing scene, running their own annual festival, Swingamajig, and a regular club night, Hot Club de Swing, as well as curating acts for events and stages across Europe. The ESC lineup features Laura Louise and Bridget Walsh (vocals), Chandra Walker (drums and keyboard), Tom Hyland (guitar), Rashad Gregory (synth, sampling, and programming) and Patrick Wreford (bass & bass synth).

The band first formed in 2011, with their preview EP, Penniless Optimist, released in September of that year. Their eponymous debut album “Electric Swing Circus” was released in May 2013, and new music is on the way for 2014!  “One of the highlights of Glastonbury Festival…” – Official Glastonbury Guide 2013

Ladies and Gentlemen, hold onto your hats. The circus is coming to town!
