Simon was born in Winchester in the UK, but currently resides and works in Beijing. Before moving to China, he served as a News Correspondent at the BBC, and later joined Channel Five News as a Reporter and Presenter. In 2013, he transitioned to China's main news channel, CCTV, as their Sports Anchor, where he hosts 2 live shows daily. Beyond broadcasting, he has engaged in various public speaking activities, including dinners, auctions, and parties.
In his free time, Simon enjoys playing and watching a variety of sports, loves cooking, and is gradually learning to speak Chinese.
