Born in the Virgin Islands, Allen has made a significant impact on the music scene across Asia after his earlier successes in North America. Touring extensively in the US jazz circuit, Allen gained recognition by recording and performing with notable artists like bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Lewis Nash.
He has lived, worked, and performed in Los Angeles, Seattle, and North Carolina. In 1992, he moved to Hong Kong, playing in some of the top jazz clubs and venues the city has to offer. Having resided and performed throughout Asia, he is highly sought after for cocktail parties, jazz festivals, jazz clubs, and corporate events in Singapore and Hong Kong.
