Kora Player

An experienced Kora player who blends the traditional rhythms of Mali with modern western influences, offers a cultural entertainment experience that enriches events and captivates guests.

With a natural talent for the Kora, our musician was soon recognized by Master Kora musician Toumani Diabate. In 2007, he was invited to Bamako, the capital of Mali, to study under Toumani in his home. This exceptional 21-string harp creates stunning background music that is rich in culture.

Since traveling to Mali, he has collaborated with numerous talented musicians from Africa to the UK. Josh has toured England and France, performing at festivals such as Womad, Small Nations, Shambala, and Boomtown, as well as at more intimate settings like weddings, private functions, and African-themed events. He has also played at renowned venues such as Ronnie Scott's.

In addition to performing across the country and Europe, Josh has worked with renowned music producers to record his own solo album and contributed several pieces to the Rhythms Del Mundo Africa Charity album as part of the APE project.

Collaborating with various charities and professionals, our musician continues to share the music of the Kora with those who rarely, if ever, have the opportunity to experience live music.

Our musician also teaches the Kora and has honed his ability to engage and relate to people through music. The perfect sound for corporate events, private parties, African-themed occasions, festivals, and any event seeking an experienced musician to create a stunning ambiance.
