Kora Player

An experienced Kora player who blends the traditional rhythms of Mali with modern Western influences offers a cultural entertainment experience that enriches events and captivates guests.

Gifted with a natural talent for the Kora, our musician was soon noticed by the Master Kora musician, Toumani Diabate. In 2007, he was invited to Bamako, the capital of Mali, to study under Toumani at his home. This unique 21-string harp creates stunning background music rich in culture.

Since traveling to Mali, he has collaborated with many talented musicians from Africa to the UK. Josh has toured England and France, playing to large audiences at festivals such as Womad, Small Nations, Shambala, and Boomtown, as well as more intimate crowds at weddings, private functions, African-themed events, and renowned venues like Ronnie Scott's.

In addition to regularly performing across the country and Europe, Josh has worked with renowned music producers to record his solo album and several pieces for the Rhythms Del Mundo Africa Charity album as part of the APE project.

Working with various charities and professionals, our musician continues to share the music of the Kora with those who rarely, if ever, have the opportunity to experience live music.

Our musician also teaches the Kora and excels at engaging and connecting with people through music. He is the perfect sound for corporate events, private parties, African-themed occasions, festivals, and any event that wants a skilled musician to create a stunning ambiance.
