After directing numerous orchestras in France and internationally for over a decade, Jean-Philippe Sarcos founded a new ensemble in 2004 with a unique style, combining an orchestra of period instruments and a choir specialized in early music interpretation. The orchestra is dedicated to performing Baroque, Classical, and Romantic repertoires. For each musical era, the musicians utilize different instruments.
Jean-Philippe Sarcos has led the String Orchestra in many highly acclaimed performances at festivals such as the Lourdes Festival of Sacred Music, Sylvanès, Auvers-sur-Oise, Saint-Malo, Saint-Victor Abbey in Marseille, the Early Music Festival in Seville, and the Festival de La Chaise-Dieu.
