Virtual Festive Origami Class
FAQs
1. How does it work?
This interactive workshop is typically live-streamed via Zoom or a similar video platform. If you prefer, our Virtual Origami Artist can also provide pre-recorded instructional videos. The live sessions use two cameras—one focuses on the artist interacting with guests, while the other offers a bird's-eye view of her hands for easy step-by-step following. Each session begins with a brief introduction to origami, its history, and our artist's background. After that, you'll be introduced to the tools before creating your first piece of origami!
2. How long is each session?
The length of each session is flexible to suit your event needs. Live-streamed classes can range from 60 to 90 minutes. Please let us know what works best for you.
3. How many people can take part?
For optimal interaction, we recommend a class size of 15-20 participants. However, our host is experienced with both larger and smaller groups and can adapt to your requirements.
4. Do guests need anything to be able to participate?
For this workshop, guests will need A3 paper, ribbon, scissors or a scalpel, a scoring tool (like a nail file tip or blunt knitting needle), a ruler, pencil, superglue, and double-sided tape. This session is usually for intermediate skills, so some prior Origami knowledge is recommended. If you prefer a session for absolute beginners, let us know, and our host can prepare more suitable content.
5. Is this interactive?
Absolutely! Guests will be actively making their festive decorations, and our host will take questions throughout the session. At the end of the workshop, participants are encouraged to showcase their creations to the camera for all to see.
6. How can this experience be customised?
Our artist welcomes new ideas and can create custom models for classes that fit a specific theme, season, or festivity. Let us know in advance if you're interested, and we will include it in your quotation.
