Virtual Origami Workshop
FAQs
1. How does it work?
This is typically delivered as an interactive live-streamed workshop on Zoom or another video conferencing platform. However, our Virtual Origami Artist can also produce prerecorded instructional videos if you prefer. All interactive classes are live-streamed from our artist's home studio using two cameras—one focusing on the artist to facilitate communication with guests as she demonstrates, and the other providing a top-down view of her hands to make each step easy to follow. Each live-streamed workshop begins with a brief introduction to origami, including its background and history, as well as our host's background as an artist. You'll then be introduced to the tools you'll be using before moving on to crafting your first piece of origami!
2. How long is each session?
This is entirely customizable to suit your event needs. Live-streamed classes can run from 30 minutes up to 75 minutes. Please let us know what would work best for your event.
3. How many people can take part?
For optimal audience interaction, we recommend a class size of 15-20 participants. However, our host is happy to work with larger or smaller groups and can tailor the session to fit your needs.
4. Do guests need anything to participate?
The specific requirements may vary based on the origami project. Generally, guests will need Origami paper or A4 Printer Paper, Glue/Superglue, and scissors.
5. Is this interactive?
Absolutely! Guests will be actively engaged in making their origami models. Our host will take questions throughout the class, and at the end, guests are encouraged to showcase their creations to the camera so everyone, including the host, can see what they've made.
6. How can this experience be customized?
Our artist is always open to new ideas and can craft custom models to match a specific theme, season, or festivity. Please let us know in advance if this is of interest, and we can include it in your quotation.
