Cockney Themed Band

Celebrating all things cockney, this band of professional musicians and singers will treat your guests to a right ol’ knees up complete with everybody’s favourite cockney tunes!

The practise of wearing clothes decorated with ‘pearly buttons’ in England in the 19th century when costermongers decorated the seems of their trousers with mother of pearl buttons that had been found by market traders. A street sweeper and fundraiser for charity adapted this costume to create a pearly suit that would draw attention to himself and aid his fund-raising activities - and so the tradition of the pearly suit began!

Adding a taste of history to your event, these pearl adorned performers are available to appear solo, as a duo, or as a full cockney band with six musicians! Their fun renditions of cockney favourites and comedy songs likes ‘Pack Up Your Troubles’, ‘Knees Up Mother Brown’, ‘Maybe It’s Because I’m A Londoner’ and ‘The Lambeth Walk’ will have everybody enjoying themselves on the dance floor. Every guest will also receive a mini union jack flag which they can raise in the air for the fabulous finale!

In addition to their live musical performances they can also appear to meet and greet guests and pose for photos. Whatever you event they will be able to create a tailor-made package to suit your specific needs!
