London Samba Musicians
Bringing the joy and colour of a Brazilian carnival to any event, the London Samba Players are a walking percussion band of impressive proportions. From a modest five musicians and going all the way to a whopping 75, the sounds created by this band is as big as you want it. Each musician plays a different type of percussion instrument as they promenade or stay on a stage, with singers, guitarists, horns and the rest building a toe-tapping noise. Whether as a small band or a full festival group, the combined effect is staggering.
By covering not just samba but a wide variety of musical styles, from reggae to pop and artists such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Madness, the roaming band can be tailored to a huge range of events. Their extensive experience of large festivals as well as more intimate concerts allows them to suit events such as conferences and large corporate events as well as world music celebrations and carnivals.
The group are also a superb option for Latin American-themed clubs and bars, particularly on large party nights or openings. Given the adaptable size of the band, venues don’t exclusively need to be large. A smaller group would suit an important night at a more intimate venue, such as restaurants, private parties or weddings.
Also able to offer dancers in carnival costumes as well as workshops in their music, this colourful coterie cover all bases for great corporate and social entertainment.
Always maintaining the hip-moving feel of Brazilian samba, the highest priorities of this group are making great music and getting people to dance! Your guests and delegates won’t be able to prevent their feet from tapping, and events where guests have an opportunity to hit the dance floor would benefit greatly from these superb musicians.
