Our delightful Vintage Gypsy Swing Band creates a wonderful and lively atmosphere at any event with their superb live music, professionalism and delivery. Taking their influence from the chic and sophisticated era of the jazz age, theirs is a delicate and very entertaining sound.
Bringing a lovely retro sound with their live music, the Vintage Gypsy Swing Band has a wonderfully diverse repertoire of songs deeply rooted in the sound of gypsy jazz and gypsy swing. They perform songs by the likes of Django Reinhardt, Edith Piaf, Cole Porter as well as gypsy swing tunes, Charlestons, French chansons, Latin flavours and classic jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. They can also learn songs for you with prior notice.
The Gypsy Swing Band performs primarily as a quintet but can be booked as quartet, trio or duo. The quintet set up includes female vocals, two guitarists, double bass and a violinist/trumpeter. The compact duo features just vocals and guitar and they perform tripped down renditions of songs from their repertoire.
Based in London, the Vintage Gypsy Swing Band regularly performs at private and corporate events, festivals, weddings, garden parties, birthdays and anniversaries. They have provided live music at Windsor Castle, Westminster Abbey, Hoxton Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and many other luxurious venues.
